A world famous dining guide is in a hurry.
Gault & Millau is in a bit of a pickle.
“Can you shoot 22 regional restaurants and winery’s in less than a month? We need top quality photos of food, interiors, exteriors and some portraits as well.”
Looking from a photography perspective - technically, yes. But that’s not the issue.
The real challenge is how do you organize around the restaurants working hours, get hold of owners and chefs, communicate, arrange, check and double check everything is prepared ahead of time, travel to so many locations, photograph everything required and then edit and deliver all of the images in a crazy short term. To make things just a little bit more interesting, the shoot needs to take place during the most unappealing part of the year, with poor weather and zero foliage.
New year’s diet be damned - we did it.
